Our senior team of experts

Senior Training Director
Lt.Col. (Ret.) Gadi Skornik

Born in France (during the 2nd World War).

From an early age, Gadi demonstrated a rare talent for Martial Arts.

At the age of 17 he immigrated to Israel where he joined the IDF.

After his military service he became a key figure in the local martial arts scene, and one of the first Israelis that went to Japan in order to learn the arts from the source.

Returning from Japan he dedicated his time to teaching, razing generation of Judokas and promoting martial arts in Israel.

As a competitor he dominated the Israeli Judo scene in the heavy & open weight categories for 14 consecutive years, representing Israel in domestic as well as international competitions.

His impressive talent and know-how caught the attention of the local law-enforcement and military training centers, which invited him to train their operational units.

Being a combatant by nature, he insisted on joining his trainees in actual operations and wars, applying and perfecting his craft in real action.

In recognition of his continuous contribution to the army in general, its special units in particular and his active participation in 3 major wars he received the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

Based on his extensive field experience Gad Skornik developed his own unique martial art - "Skornik Israeli Combat" that combines: Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Aikido and the usage of modern firearms.

Recognized by the international Martial Arts Comity in Japan; Gad Skornik was promoted to 10th Dan and given the "Cancho" title (A title given to creators and principal masters of distinct fighting styles).

Gad Skornik currently sits in the board of Skornik Security Ltd. in his capacity of Chief Instructor, and continues to conduct Master classes in Israel and internationally.
